Capitalize every word except prepositions because it is a headline. It is consisting of three words or even less with at least 170 Characters and has no period.
Place a summary paragraph as a synopsis of the press release. It is in regular sentence form but it does not only repeat headline but it tells the content of the whole story as a summary.
It is mandatory in making Press Release. City, State Month date, year — The first paragraph must contain the most important information because it is a start and it should catch up the reader’s attention.
There are some that did not read the summary or the headline so your first paragraph must have it own.
A press release, is the same with news story, make a short sentences and paragraphs, for about three or four lines. The initial paragraphs such as the 1st and second must answer the who what, when, where, why and how questions.
The remaining paragraphs expounds on the information provided in the lead paragraph. It includes quotes from key staff, customers or from experts. It must give more details that supported the headline or summary. It is the body of the press release and all needed information should be available in there.
The last paragraph should reinstate and summarize key point and it is much better to include there a quote that touches human. This also includes details on product availability, trademark acknowledgements, etc.
About the Company : This is about a short corporate backgrounder about the company or the person who is newsworthy before you list the contact person’s name and phone number.
The e-mail address is not included in the body of the release instead put it on the “Contact Email” box when you submit your press release. This is to avoid spam, your address will never appear on the site, but you will be able to contact through special contact link displayed on your press release.
